** Waterskiing has been rejected by the IOC for the 2004 Games in Athens. Full details on here.

** Have you got your tickets for the London boat show yet? London Boat Show tickets are now on sale. For details and to buy your tickets in advance go to Big Blue website. While you are there, visit The Edge stand. There will be an advert for waterski-az in January issue of The Edge, which will be available at the Boat Show. ** Some World Cup dates for 2001 available on the IWSF World Cup site.
** Jimmy Siemer's jump and overall records have been approved by the IWSF Tournament Council. Jimmy's new World Jump Record is 70.9m (233 ft), and the new World Overall Record is 2717.12 points.
** New skier profiles - Karen Truelove, Emma Sheers and Curtis Sheers. Remember that you can now submit your profile on-line.
** BBC Sport Personality of the Year - Raise the profile of waterskiing in the UK vote for Andy Mapple. Go to the bottom of this page and complete your vote for Andy.

** Richard Mattos skied out of his skin in the first 2 rounds, and even after a shocking final round managed to take the 19th Seaton Classic Title. Well done Richard. Next stop Gosfield, for the Last Chance, and Turps Trophy next weekend.
** See Andy Mapple in the Water Ski Magazine America's Cup - 1@9.75m/36mph - Mapple equals his world record again.
** This weekend sees the 19th running of the Seaton Classic, at JBWaterski, Thorpe. 74 Slalom skiers and 16 Jumpers battling against thenselves, and thier previous personal best scores. Final rounds today (Sunday 1, October).

** Just the British Masters left to go. The British Masters and the Café de Colombia World Cup Finals are being held at John Battleday Waterski, Thorpe, next weekend 2-3 September 2000. ** British National Finals - Sarah Gatty Saunt and Jason Seels take top spots Overall. Glenn Campbell take his first British slalom title. A great day at JBWaterski, Reading. Find out more here.

** British Nationals and the final round of the Mastercraft British Tour on this weekend at JBWaterski, Reading (my home lake). Keep an eye out for report and photos from the Nationals.
** White Stuff British Wakeboard Tour. Results from Round 3 at Church Wilne.
** Andy Mapple equal his Slalom World Record in Austria, running 1@9.75m in the run-off against Chris Parrish. Austrian Masters Final Results.
** The next London and South Forum Meeting will be held on Tuesday 11th July at Spelthorne Waterski Club, Thames-side, Shepperton, Middlesex.
** This weekend the action move to Austria. Check you the Austrian Masters website. Story so far - In the women's competition Kristi O-J lead slalom with 1.5@10.75, Britta G-L leads jump with 49.7m. In the men's competition Andy Mapple leads the way into the slalom finals with 2@10.25. Full results from the first day can be found on the Austrian Masters website.
** More World Cup news. This week the Tour stopped in Recetto for a quick women's slalom and men's jump competition. At the quick stop over, Kristi Overton Johnson matched her slalom world record with 1@10.25. No surprise....Kristi took top honours at Recetto, with Sarah Gatty Saunt putting in a good score for the Brits. In the men's Jump Freddy took top honours.

** French Masters Results.

** All go in France! Round 9 of the F1 Grand Prix and Round 5 of the Cafe de Colombia Waterski World Cup are both in France this weekend. French Masters on 1-2 July 2000.

** US Open Final Results.
** Toni Neville might net herself a $25,000 bonus if the record jump of 173 feet (over 52 metres), in this weekends US Open, is approved. More details from WorldSport.com.
** Back to the action in the Café de Colombia Water Ski World Cup with the US Open this weekend, 23-25 June 2000. Schedule of Events and full details of the event can be found on the US Open website. The World cup then moves to Europe for the French Masters on July 1-2, the Recetto World Cup stop on July 5-6 and the Austrian Masters July 8-9.
