Make Your Equipment Last

Make your wetsuits last     Keeping your skis looking and working like new    Looking after your Rope and Handles

Keep your ropes out of direct sunlight except for when in use. The sun's UV
rays cause deterioration. Store away from heat.

Rinse in fresh water after use, especially when the rope has been used in
salt water. Every once in a while wash the rope with a mild detergent to
remove dirt.

Switch ends of the rope occasionally to rotate tension spots and to reduce
wear and tear. Store the rope on a reel to prevent tangling and knots,
which also wear on the ropes durability.

Apply chafing tape to spots on the rope that receive extensive wear and
tear. Try double looping around the rope attachment point to add strength.

Alternate ropes for extended use and always have spare ropes available.
